Chief Financial Officer

Jon serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Huws Gray Group. Jon is responsible for overseeing the Group’s financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence across its nationwide network. Jon is also responsible for the Group’ technology function and is leading the charge to ensure the Group’s colleagues, customers and suppliers can benefit from the latest developments to drive efficiency and engagement.

Jon joined Huws Gray in 2023 as Group Finance Director, before progressing to CFO in 2025. During this time, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls and reporting frameworks. His leadership has been central to aligning financial planning with the Group’s long-term strategic goals.

Prior to Huws Gray, Jon held senior finance roles at the FTSE 250 listed Plc, Pets at Home, where he served in a number of roles including Finance Director for its Retail division and Group Financial Controller. Prior to Pets at Home, Jon led the financial reporting and control teams for the Manchester Airport Group where he supported the business receiving investment from IFM, issuing Corporate bonds, acquiring London Stansted Airport and establishing Airport City. His earlier career includes extensive experience in audit and accountancy, having trained with KPMG where he qualified as an ACA. His clients included multi-national and multi-site businesses operating in a wide range of sectors including Retail, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Automotive, Construction, eComm, Food & Beverage and Aviation. Jon holds a BA (Hons) in Business Economics from the University of Leicester.

Jon is recognised for his commercial acumen, analytical approach, and ability to lead high-performing finance teams. He is passionate about building strong partnerships across the business, ensuring that financial insights support decision-making at every level.
